Skyler Jayne Earns Two Semesters of Spanish Credit in NPC's Study Abroad Program

Skyler Jayne, of Show Low, AZ, is one of the two NPC students who participated in the Northland Pioneer College Study Abroad Program in Costa Rica during the month of July.

The students studied Spanish at Costa Rica University and earned two semesters of Spanish credit in one month by being totally immersed in the intensive language class.

"It's one thing to learn a language in a classroom or from a book" says Richard Harris, NPC's Study Abroad coordinator, "but it's another to experience it. You learn the meaning of the language when you experience the culture."
