Duncan Participates in CIS Internship

2015 Oct 7

Northland Pioneer College student Brian Duncan, is participating in a work internship this fall semester through NPC's Computer Information Systems (CIS) department. Internships can be valuable assets for current students pursuing a career and are recommended by NPC's Career Services. "Internships are a great way to work in your major and figure out if it really is something you want to pursue as a career," explains Doug Seely, CIS coordinator. "These Internships will not only help build resumes, but allow students to develop skills that directly apply to their majors and help prepare them for their careers after graduation." NPC student interns get the opportunity to take the knowledge they've gained in class and put it into action while establishing a network of contacts, mentors, and references that will be of value to them when they enter the workforce or further their education in the future.
