Cash Stirling helps with award-winning float

Northland Pioneer College's entry in the 2016 City of Show Low Christmas Lights Parade won the Judges' Choice - First Place Award. Designed and built by Automotive and Welding students the float featured welders, grinders and a sleigh propelled by a engine shooting flames through candy-caned striped exhaust pipes.

"Almost every classmember (65 in all) in the two programs was involved in the design, build out, walked beside/on or helped tear down the float," said NPC welding instructor Randall Hoskins.

Cash Stirling, of Show Low, helped with the float project. Stirling is studying with plans to obtain an .
